8-day tour featuring Denver, Cripple Creek, Black Canyon, San Juan Mountains, Silverton and more…
Gold brought the early prospectors to the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Fortunes were found in the
mines and often lost in the saloons and brothels of the gold camps. High in the Rocky Mountains,
gold camps sprouted wherever the precious mineral appeared, often in places more suitable for
viewing than living. Many of those camps and mines have left reminders of their existence. We will
get a personal look at some of those reminders. Colorado is still a major producer of gold and we
will experience the present and feel the past come to life as we explore the Colorado Mineral belt
from Cripple Creek to the San Juan Mountains.
Tour Price $1,390 p.p.d.o. Rate applies to the following 2011 departure: August 13, 2011.
