5 Day tour in Baltimore & Washington D.C. – 2 Ballparks, 2 Games, 4 Teams.
Head down and grab some crab cakes in Baltimore while we listen to retired umpire Al Clark relay his classic stories from his time on the field. After some free time in the Inner Harbor and a visit to the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum, we catch a game at Camden Yards. The tour then heads to our Nation’s capital for the 89th All-Star Game festivities. The fun starts with a visit to the All-Star FanFest on Monday where fans can check out artifacts, enjoy interactive games and see all sorts of All-Star history. We then head to the ball park for the All-Star Workout before the excitement of the Home Run Derby. Who will hit one out of Nationals Park? We end the trip with the main event. Join us as American League stars like Altuve, Judge and Trout take on the National League lead by Bryant, Arenado and Bellinger, in this year’s All-Star Game. Who will come out victorious this year?
Day: 1 – Arrive, Baltimore, MD
This evening get to know your host and fellow travelers at a reception followed by the Ump’s Eye View Sports Talk – An Inside Look Into Baseball. Enjoy stories and Q & A from former Big League Umpire of 26 years, Al Clark. Reception includes appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. The suggested arrival airport is Baltimore Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI).
DAY 2 – Baltimore, MD – Babe Ruth Museum and Rangers @ Orioles (AL)
Today we visit the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum and spend the afternoon watching the Orioles host the Rangers at iconic Camden Yards. After the game, enjoy the evening at leisure exploring the sights, sounds, shops and restaurants of Baltimore’s famed Inner Harbor.
Day: 3 – Washington, D.C. – All-Star Fan Fest, All-Star Work Out and Home Run Derby
This morning we take a short trip South to Washington D.C. and spend the day at All-Star Fanfest enjoying all things Baseball. In the evening we’ll take a short trip to Nationals Park for the All-Star Workout and Home Run Derby.
Day: 4 – Washington, D.C. – All-Star Game
Morning and early afternoon at leisure before departing to Nationals Park as Baseball’s greatest active players face off representing the American and National Leagues in the 89th Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
Day: 5 – Departures
Today, depart at leisure. The suggested airport for departure is Washington Ronald Regan National Airport. (DCA). Or, if you prefer to extend your stay as post-nights at the hotel are available.
