You’ve seen photos of Notre Dame Cathedral—now’s your time to not only see it, but to visit it. You’ve studied and read about D-Day’s Normandy Beaches—now’s your chance to visit one of them. You’ve heard about France’s famous wines—now’s your chance to participate in a wine tasting in Bordeaux country. You’ve heard of the high-speed TGV train—now’s your chance to ride on it. All of this and much more are included on this France tour that starts and ends in Paris and has overnights also in Caen, St. Malo, the Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Lourdes, Nîmes, the French Riviera, Lyon, and Dijon.

A French vacation would not be complete without a visit to a castle and on this tour, you’ll visit the 16th-century castle of Catherine de Medici, Chenonceau, a fairytale castle with a moat and towers. You’ll also visit the famous Abbey of Mont St. Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated on a rocky isle that has been a pilgrimage site for centuries. Another famous place of pilgrimage is Lourdes. Here, visit the grotto where the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette in 1858 and in the evening, join the Rosary and candlelight procession—a memorable and special experience offered by Globus. Another out-of-the-ordinary experience on this French tour is a lecture about perfume-making from an expert at one of France’s most famous perfume factories. In Brittany, you will visit the Neolithic dolmen La Roche-aux-Fées, which dates back to 3500-3000 BC. In Lyon, you’ll take a private river cruise with a Local Guide who will explain the sights.

All of this—plus visits to the medieval, walled town of Carcassonne and the elegant city of Aix-en-Provence—are included on this marvelous tour through France. It’s a vacation of a lifetime!
